And where does the adventure begin

Redding has such a rich history it is hard to figure out where to begin. Do I start at the beginning when Redding was known as Poverty Flats or when some people argued that our town be called Reading? Or I could begin with the political fight between the towns of Redding and Shasta over the location of the county seat.

As you probably learned in school all stories have a beginning, a middle, and an end. But I have decided that our adventure is not going to be in sequenced order. I will blog about events, places or people that are current and then go back into time. We will become time travelers and explorers. We will go back and forth in time as if we were in a time machine. We will learn about our roots and have some fun at the same time

First we are going to turn back the clock to the 1990s. Our adventure begins with a bridge that can tell time. It is known as the Sundial Bridge. I will be back soon with the story, until then the History Mystery Man signs off.
